Pay

Estimated $66,800 – $90,500 a Year

Wages plus per diem (non-taxable under IRS rules), paid time off, and health reimbursement — and a $1,000 sign-on bonus on top in your first year. Paid by the trip, not by the mile — your trip rates are in the table below; the offer letter has the full pay terms.

  • $250 per Kingman turn (Phoenix → Kingman → Phoenix) · $575 per Fontana loop (Phoenix → Kingman → Fontana → Phoenix — $495 in wages plus $80 per diem, non-taxable under IRS rules, for the overnight) — flat trip pay, so you know your trip rate before you leave the yard
  • Paid past the expected time — every run has an expected completion time, currently 10 hours for a Kingman turn and 16 for a Fontana loop. On-duty time past that — dock waits, traffic, road closures, a breakdown — as recorded under our timekeeping policy, is paid at $30/hour on top of the trip rate. Dock waiting is on duty and counts; a rest stop away from the docks is off duty and does not
  • Added work pays the same for everyone — a stop or leg dispatch adds to your run pays $30 per added stop, $0.60 per added mile and $80 per added night, priced on your phone before you leave the yard, and the run’s expected completion time is extended to match. A one-off run never pays less per mile than the dedicated lanes
  • $1,000 sign-on bonus paid at 90 days
  • $250 per month toward your health insurance (QSEHRA, tax-free with qualifying coverage) after 90 days
  • 5 days (40 hours) paid time off each year, sick-usable
  • Clean roadside inspection bonus — every clean DOT inspection pays: $100 Level I, $75 Level II, $50 Level III
  • $1,000 referral bonus when a driver you bring stays — paid at their 90 days and 6 months

Trip pay is flat per run, so on-duty time past a run’s expected completion time comes on top of it. The yearly total adds up wages, per diem, health reimbursement, and paid time off, and the $1,000 sign-on bonus comes on top in year one. Current trip rates and expected completion times are shown above; rates and policies may change prospectively with written notice. Expected completion time is adjusted when dispatch adds work to a run. Annual figures are estimates and vary with the runs assigned and freight volume.

What You’ll Run

Dedicated Round Trips

Two dedicated runs out of Phoenix: the Kingman turn (Phoenix → Kingman → Phoenix) and the Fontana loop (Phoenix → Kingman → Fontana, CA → Phoenix — Kingman on the way out, then straight back home). Routes, days and weekly assignments are set by Viatrix Logistics according to business needs, including California runs, within hours-of-service rules — a week can mix three to five trips. Typical weeks are well under 60 hours; on-duty time depends on the run. Monday–Friday night dispatch, between 7:00 and 11:00 PM. Every trip pays a flat rate, so you know your trip rate before you leave the yard — and every run has an expected completion time. On-duty time past it — a dock hold, traffic, a road closure, or a breakdown — is paid on top, as recorded under our timekeeping policy.

Phoenix → Kingman → Phoenix

  • $250 flat per turn — expected completion 10 hours; on-duty time past it is paid at $30/hour on top
  • Out and back on one shift — home by morning, sleep in your own bed

Phoenix → Kingman → Fontana → Phoenix

  • $575 per loop — $495 in wages plus $80 per diem, non-taxable under IRS rules, for the overnight
  • Kingman on the way out, Fontana, then back to Phoenix — expected completion 16 hours; on-duty time past it is paid at $30/hour on top

Example weeks — assignments vary

A week of five Kingman turns is home every morning and $1,250 in wages at today’s trip rate. A week of three Fontana loops is three nights out and $1,725 including per diem. Every driver is regularly assigned California runs; the office sets the actual mix as freight requires.

If a night runs long, the expected completion time is what pays for it — a breakdown or a dock hold that pushes a run past its expected time is paid on top of the flat trip rate at $30/hour, checked run by run and recorded under our timekeeping policy. Your phone shows each run’s expected completion time from the moment it is dispatched, and the app measures the time for you — nothing to file. Routes, stops and added legs are assigned by dispatch as freight requires, and every driver rotates through the California runs.
